A transit number is a five-digit number that identifies your bank branch.

An institution number is a three-digit number that identifies your banking institution.

An account number is a 7-12-digit number that identifies your bank account.

Where can I find my direct deposit information?

Bank mobile/online app:
Login to your bank's online app and select the account you wish to use, then look for a direct deposit or void cheque information.
Bank statement:
Look at your most recent bank statement; it may contain your transit and account number.
Cheque:
Your transit number, institution number and account number are located on the bottom the cheque.

If you are unable to find the information, contact your banking institution for assistance.
